PRODUCT RELEASE · HAVEN MAINTENANCE
Jump Into the Conversation
Haven runs the back-and-forth on maintenance. This week we made it effortless for a human to step in, without leaving Haven or picking up a second phone.
Inside: reply right from the dashboard · steer the agent with a note · cleaner conversation views.
The point of automation is not to lock you out
Haven Maintenance handles the routine on its own. It intakes the work order, triages it with the tenant, coordinates the vendor, and keeps the record updated while your team does other things. Most of the time, that is exactly what you want.
But every operator knows the moment when you want to step in yourself. A tenant asks something only you can answer. You want to add a detail the agent should not guess at. The best systems do not make you fight to take over in that moment. They hand you the wheel cleanly and put you right back where you left off.
That was the theme of this week's release. Two changes, both aimed at the same thing: keep everything in one place, and make it effortless for a human to jump in.
NEW
You can now reply to a maintenance conversation directly from the dashboard.
Before this, stepping in meant texting the tenant from a separate number, which started a second thread outside Haven and split the history in two. Now you type your message right in the conversation, it goes out to the tenant from your firm's Haven number, and it lands in the same thread everyone is already reading. Your message shows up clearly marked as coming from your team, so anyone looking at the conversation later can see exactly where a person stepped in and where Haven was handling things.
The whole point is that the conversation stays whole. One thread, one place, whether the agent is running it or you are.
NEW
Steer the agent with a note
Here is the change we are most excited about. The notes on a work order are not just a record anymore. Haven reads them, and acts on them.
Leave a note like do not respond and Haven holds off. Note that the work is already handled and Haven wraps up the conversation instead of chasing it. You are giving the agent instructions in the place you already work, the work order itself, and it listens. No settings screen, no support ticket, no separate console. The note you would have jotted down anyway is now also the steering wheel.

ALSO THIS WEEK
Smaller polish, same spirit
Conversations now read like a normal text thread. Triage and scheduling chats render in the dashboard the way you would expect a real conversation to look, from your team's point of view, with messages grouped by sender and each one clearly labeled as sent to the tenant or the vendor. Easier to scan, harder to misread.
Triage wraps up on its own when a tenant says the issue is already resolved. No more chasing a work order the tenant already fixed.
Per-firm control over follow-up timing. Follow-up cadence can now be tuned to how your firm actually works, so Haven nudges on your schedule, not a generic one.
Why this matters
The pattern under all of it is human-in-the-loop done right. Automation should carry the routine and then get out of your way the instant you want in, without making you leave the tool, start a new thread, or lose the thread you were on. That is the standard we are building maintenance toward, one quality-of-life release at a time.
Here's to the Builders,
Madeline
